INTERACT CLUB OF GAMBLE STREET SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

 CHARTERING of GAMBLE STREET SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB on the 6^th of SEPTEMBER 2012

On Tuesday 4 September, The Rotary Club of Uitenhage South was proud to charter the Interact Club of Gamble Street Senior Secondary School. This is the 6^th Interact club charted by the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South. This was made possible by a dedicated Rotarian PP Alan Reynolds that was recruiting the club since last year, as well as a dedicated teacher from the school, Ms Harris who was persistent in getting the club chartered.

The official charter was presented to the club by President Alex Govender and 26 new Interact members were inducted at the occasion that was attended by a few Rotarians, The school principal, Mr. Barnes and teachers as well as the parents of the children.

It was amazing and encouraging to see and hear the positive influence these learners already had on the school and how motivated they are to do projects in the community.

The program and items on the program was mainly organised and presented by the Interact Club members. The program was very touching with poems dedicated by two learners about ‘people who care for others’ and the ‘love of a mother.’ Items of song, praising God was also rendered by learners.

The Rotary Club of Uitenhage South is proud to be associated with Gamble Street Senior Secondary School and we wish them everything of the best with the newly inducted Interact club and the projects they are planning to embark on.
